The reunion was wonderful. We will be older the next time and it would be great if we could have enough chairs for all in attendance.
ReplyDeleteIf we do a booklet for our next Reunion, Lucy Amore suggested we add our OLD ADDRESSES from the Westside. A neat idea, Lucy, Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be great to include STA addresses also. It was something everyone asked, What block did you live on? We could really just add it to the name tags. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone and sharing memories. Peggy
ReplyDeleteHi! My name is Bill Moorhead, formerly of 179 N. Lamon Ave., a member of the Class of '51. We have had 2 reunions: a 25th in '76 and a 50th in '01. Present at our 50th was our former 5th grade teacher, Sr. Mary Tarcisia! What we didn't realize was the fact that when she taught us in 5th grade, it was her first teaching assignment and was only 10 years older than we were at the time!! I was awed by the beautiful video posted by Dan Carr! It brought back many memories! I hope everyone noticed that the face in the picture of St. William was the face of Msgr. Long! I would love to share our class list for the next reunion. I can be contacted through TwoWindsor2@Yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI would like to see more reunions at the Church/School as we did on Sunday, March 13th.
ReplyDeleteI believe the point is getting together and celebrating and supporting our old Parish. Reunions don't have to be extravagant affairs, and the money would be better spent for the benefit of the Parish.
The day (Sunday) and time (10:30) was perfect and refreshment in the "Canteen" was memorable. As participatation grows, the Mass should still be an integral part of the celebration. The small space (Canteen) should force us to get to know/talk to eachother a little more ;-)
My opinion...;-)
